Are there any rules for choosing colors? - Take into account the existing elements in the room that already have a color. The size, and amount of light in the room. Also what will the room be used for?
Can you make my wood look better? - In most cases, yes. Wood trim typically suffers from damage caused by everyday living. Dings, dents, holes, and peeling paint are all normal wear and tear. This is especially noticeable on door frames and baseboards. The best way to treat and restore wood is to carefully sand down the current layer of paint to de-gloss the surface and remove any failed material. We then use a wood filler like Bondo or Spackle to fill in damaged areas, sand until it blends with the surrounding area, prime and the surface is restored and ready for paint.
What sheen of paint to use? - The higher the sheen, the more wipe-able and cleanable it is and the longer the paint surface will last. On the downside, the higher the sheen, the more the texture and wall anomalies will be highlighted. Colors will also ready differently than they will with a flat sheen. Higher sheens bounce and focus light.

Because of our extensive experience with customers, we have the necessary knowledge to create beautiful spaces. Our multi-step process ensures your project is completed exactly the way you want it.
Cleaning - A quality paint job requires a clean surface. For exterior projects we power wash every exterior to remove loose paint, debris and dirt to ensure a durable, lasting finish. For interior projects we wipe down every surface to ensure the best paint adhesion. After cleaning, all loose paint will be scraped away and surfaces sanded where needed before we begin painting.
Masking - Windows and trim that will not be painted are masked off to protect the surfaces. Furniture and any other items need to be removed or covered with a tarp.
Repairs / Caulking - Any drywall on patios or stucco texture that needs repair is completed before the painting begins. All cracks around windows, doors and fascia are caulked to seal these areas.
Primer - Every exterior has primer applied before the paint to create an adhesive surface. This is vital for long-lasting results.
Painting - We carefully apply paint both vertically and horizontally for best coverage, including trim, metal surfaces, and garage and entry doors if needed. For interiors, typically we spray ceilings first to apply an even coat, then paint walls with two coats of paint.
Clean Up / Inspection - Our crews never leave a mess behind. All coverings, masking, paint chips and other debris are removed once the job is completed. Then the foreman for your crew will carefully inspect the completed project to ensure it meets our high standards before we ask you to review the work for a final sign-off at completion.
